SplitPilot is a mobile application that helps groups track shared expenses, split bills, and settle debts among friends, family, and travel companions. Features include expense tracking, multi-currency support, trip management, smart splitting, and settlement calculations. The service is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use SplitPilot (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Notify us immediately at support@splitpilot.io if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree to use SplitPilot only for lawful purposes. You must not: (a) use the service for any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure; (c) transmit harmful, harassing, or offensive content; (d) reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code; (e) use automated tools to scrape or overload the service; or (f) violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

SplitPilot offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as described on our Pricing page. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle. All fees are non-refundable except as set out in our Cancellations and Refunds section. Prices may change upon 30 days' notice. Trip Pass purchases grant a one-time non-recurring feature unlock.

If you download SplitPilot via the Apple App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. If downloaded via Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service apply. These platform providers are not responsible for SplitPilot or its content. In-app purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their respective billing and refund policies. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms solely with respect to the provisions that directly relate to their respective platforms.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings or your App Store / Google Play account. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Trip Pass purchases are non-refundable. For recurring subscriptions purchased directly through us, refund requests within 7 days of the original purchase may be considered at our discretion. Refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google respectively.

You retain full ownership of all expense data and financial information you enter into SplitPilot. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your data solely to provide and improve the service. SplitPilot is a personal expense-tracking tool — it is not a financial institution, payment processor, or regulated financial service. We do not provide financial advice. We do not sell your expense data to third parties.

Your privacy is fundamental to how we build SplitPilot. Our Privacy Policy details what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and how you can control it. By using SplitPilot, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR where applicable.

SplitPilot, its logo, design, original content, features, and all underlying software are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the service without our prior written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SplitPilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification, and update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SplitPilot after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
